About R.M.
Buck Builders

Our Company Beginnings

In the early 1960s, Bob Buck began his construction career while he was still in high school in New England. With a hands-on learning experience, Bob became a skilled carpenter, and then a lead framer in 1974 for a builder in southern New Hampshire. In 1977, Bob started his own construction and custom cabinetry companies. Over the next 13 years, R.M. Buck Builders framed over a million square feet of luxury homes and townhomes in the ski resort areas of New England. It did not take long for potential clients to recognize Bob's passion for detail on every job. With the in-house cabinet company supplying fine custom cabinetry, R.M. Buck Builders became the general contractor of choice for many of the luxury homes and townhomes across New England.

Our Company's Move
to Charleston

In an effort to live and work in a warmer climate, Bob and Renae Buck moved their family to Charleston, South Carolina in 1990. They soon realized the need for high-end custom cabinetry for the luxury homes being built in Charleston and on Kiawah and Seabrook Island. Island Cabinet Company was born out of that need. Soon after Island Cabinet Company was launched, R.M. Buck Builders, now a South Carolina-based company, began renovating homes and building luxury homes on Kiawah, Seabrook and Johns Island. Each R.M. Buck Builders' home, whether new or renovated, showcases furniture-grade custom cabinets built on-site at the Island Cabinet Company.

Where We Stand Today

Buck Builders and a valuable source for new and repeated business.
