With more than 14 years of building experience under his tool belt‚ Bob Buck launched his own construction and custom cabinet companies in 1977. For the next 13 years‚ with his in–house company supplying furniture‚grade custom cabinetry‚ R. M. Buck Builders became the General Contractor of choice for many of the luxury homes and townhomes built in the ski resort areas of New England.

In 1990‚ Bob and Renae Buck moved their family to Charleston‚ South Carolina. They soon realized the strong demand for fine‚ custom cabinetry for the luxury homes being built in Charleston and on Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. In 1990‚ the Island Cabinet Company was born out of that need. Since then‚ Bob and Renae Buck have been supplying furniture–grade‚ custom cabinetry from their Johns Island location to the discriminating clients who have built many of the finest homes in downtown Charleston‚ Kiawah‚ Seabrook‚ Johns and Wadmalaw Islands.
